Marco Barendse country director ELCEE Netherlands
Marco Barendse was appointed country director of ELCEE Netherlands on 1 November. Marco has worked at ELCEE for more than 20 years, knows ELCEE through and through and has been at the basis of the positive development of the Engineered Components product category within ELCEE.
Barendse joined ELCEE in 2000 as a product specialist in castings and forgings. In this role, he gained a great deal of technical knowledge, which he has used in various (managerial) positions within ELCEE since 2005. As key account manager and international sales director, Marco gained a great deal of knowledge about all ELCEE NL’s ranges; castings & forgings, plain bearing technology (including the igus®, Wärtsilä and Tribotop brands), lifting technology (Gunnebo, Crosby and Flaig) and fastening technology (stainless steel speciality). In his most recent position as manager design & engineering Marco has headed the department of 14 engineers. He has taken the initiative to further invest in knowledge and skills in order to support clients even better in the design of castings & forging parts, the conversion of welded assemblies into castings and thinking in assemblies. Country director of ELCEE Netherlands, is a good next step in his career and fits in well with his personal development.
